August 14th Parks Meeting Recap

The Board of Directors of Fort Bend Municipal Utility District No. 151 met on Thursday, August 14th. Below is a summary of the items discussed during the meeting.
FLOCK Proposal (Security)
License Plate Reader camera installation update - FLOCK is coordinating with Fort Bend County Constable to obtain a signed contract for monitoring before moving forward with installation.
The Board asked that FLOCK work to install these license plate readers as quickly as possible.
Board approved purchase of live video security cameras to enhance security at the cluster of mailboxes located in the District.
EnGoPlanet Presentation (Solar Lighting)
The Board received a presentation from EnGoPlanet on solar lighting options that could be used throughout the District.
Engineering Updates
Sanitary Sewer Rehab — contract approved.
Drainage Channel Rehab — side slope regrading complete at Firethorne East Lake No. 1.
Crosswalk lighting — Fort Bend County reviewing maintenance agreement.
FM 1463/Cane Island Pkwy annexation matters - feasibility study to be updated.
Park & Landscape Maintenance
West Detention deck replacement, East Lake well repair, and West Detention tree cleanup has been completed.
Irrigation is currently running along trails/sidewalks to restore landscaping to full health.
Savannah Hawk shade structure repair in progress.
Variable Flow Drive on irrigation was considered to prevent future leaks.
Mulch refill and dog waste station rehab/replacement discussed by Board.
Parks Landscape Development
The Board discussed ADA ramp compliance, drainage, and regrading for upcoming trail project.
Board discussed resodding and irrigation at trail being used as a shortcut to school.
Communications
New communications plan presented with expanded social media efforts.
