FBCMUD 151 – Meeting Summary (October 27, 2025)
The Board of Directors of Fort Bend Municipal Utility District No. 151 met on Monday, October 27th. Below is a summary of the items discussed during the meeting.
Public Comment The Board discussed License Plate Readers (LPRs) and Security Camera installation. The MUD is funding the installation and equipment. Once operational, the Constable’s Office and Fort Bend County will have access to the cameras to help enhance neighborhood security.
Engineering Updates
FM 1463 Road Widening/Sound Wall: TXDOT estimates overall project completion in early 2027.
Lift Station No. 1: Electrical installation work is underway for the rehabilitation and new backup generator.
2025 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation: Manhole repairs are complete; crews are now working on pipe point repairs.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements: Construction anticipated to begin March 2026.
Drainage Channel Rehabilitation: Crews have remobilized to complete shoreline grading at the West Detention Basin.
South Firethorne Road Crosswalk Lighting: Maintenance agreement is under County review; light brightness can be adjusted as needed.
Lift Station No. 2: Design work for future rehabilitation will begin next year.
Development Inquiries:
Southstone Church (north of FM 1463): Awaiting formal capacity request.
1.26-acre tract at FM 1463 and Crossover Road: Engineering will review development plans upon receipt.
Reclaimed Water Booster Pump Station: Evaluating options for upgrades and addressing recent line breaks.
Radar Speed Signs: Two new radar signs have been ordered for South Firethorne Road; arrival expected within a month.
Crosswalk Striping: Request submitted to Fort Bend County; estimated completion in 6–8 months.
Flock Security Cameras: Meeting scheduled with Flock on November 10 to review LPR and mailbox camera installations.
West Detention Parking Lot: Design proposal to be presented at next month’s meeting.
Shoreline Erosion Repairs: Design and cost estimates underway for Firethorne West Detention and East Lakes Nos. 3 & 4.
Storm Water Management: The District responded to TCEQ comments on its stormwater permit renewal. Residents are reminded not to blow yard debris into streets, as it is a violation of stormwater regulations.
Parks & Landscaping
Trail Enhancement Phase 1: Awaiting County review and HOA approval letter.
Fall Maintenance: Rye seed applied in parks—expect wet conditions for two weeks. Fall flowers scheduled for late October.
Irrigation Issues: Engineering and Operations will investigate system performance.
Greystone Crossing Park: Power currently out; landscaping will resume once restored. Board requested routine power checks at all parks.
Grounding Rod Checks: Operations verifying grounding at all park electrical systems.
Mailbox Areas: Landscaping will provide a quote for cleaning; “One Hour Parking” signs to be installed.
Playgrounds: Kiddie Cushin material to be refreshed.
Operations
Billing Convenience Fees: Operator will confirm if e-check and ACH payments incur fees. Facility Updates:
Booster Pump #5 replaced at Water Plant 1.
Blower motor replaced at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
New bleach tank installation ongoing at Water Plant 1.
Smart Meter: Board approved installation at Linsey Elementary.
