FORT BEND MUD 151 IS CURRENTLY OPERATING UNDER STAGE 1 DROUGHT RESPONSE MEASURES
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, Fort Bend County is currently in a state of severe and extreme drought. Due to the extreme water demand in our district and the need for water conservation, Fort Bend MUD 151 has enacted Stage 1 of their Drought Response Plan. While Stage 1 is VOLUNTARY, we ask that residents adhere to the following outdoor watering schedule:
Even addresses may irrigate on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
Odd addresses may irrigate on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays
If you have a programmable controller, please set it to water no more than three times a week on the day that corresponds with the days above. For the best results and to avoid wasteful evaporation, any watering should begin after 8:00 p.m. in the evening and for those who prefer the morning please have all cycles complete by 6:00 a.m.
With your help we can avoid further restrictions by taking the actions below.
- limit non-essential water uses such as vehicle washing, power washing, gutter flushing, and refilling swimming pools, hot tubs, or aesthetic fountains (except those that support aquatic life)
- check for and repair all leaks such as dripping faucets, running toilets as well as irrigation heads (EyeOnWater App provides a “Leak Alert” feature. Learn more find our simple walk-through at https://www.fbcmud151.com/smart-meter)
- make sprinkler adjustments as needed to avoid watering sidewalks, driveways, and roadways
