Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 151 (the District) values the safety of all Firethorne residents and visitors. As such, the District has long maintained certain rules and regulations pertaining to the use of unauthorized motor vehicles in/around MUD property, including drainage and detention facilities as well as recreational spaces, which can be found here. Unauthorized motor vehicles include, but are not limited to, dirt bikes, four wheelers, golf carts, etc.
There has been an uptick in unauthorized motor vehicles around the District’s detention facilities, particularly the southernmost eastern lake and the west detention area. Unauthorized activity in these spaces, as stated above, is prohibited. In addition to the obvious dangers of unauthorized vehicle traffic in these areas, the damage to District property caused by motor vehicles can create the need for costly repairs and can impact drainage, damage underground utilities, and potentially become an environmental risk to Firethorne.
Residents who see a violation occurring are encouraged to immediately reach out to the Fort Bend Co. Sheriff's Office on their non-emergency line, 281-341-4665, and/or District’s operator, Inframark, at (281) 579-4500. Additionally, please let the District know of any violations by utilizing the contact form on the District website [Here]. Violators can and will be reported to local law enforcement and, if caught, violations could result in fines and/or jail time.
Thank you for your help keeping Firethorne safe.
