The Board of Directors of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 151 held a Regular Meeting on Monday, February 23, 2026.
Key actions and updates include:
Public Safety: The Board officially signed a contract with On-Site Protection LLC for dedicated onsite police protection and presence.
Firethorne West Drainage Channel: The Board approved a proposal to rehabilitate the eroded area located behind Lindsey Elementary.
Tax Exemptions: The Board deferred making a decision on the optional tax exemptions to offer for the next fiscal year, requesting a thorough review of options and financial impacts for the next meeting.
Engineering Matters:
TXDOT Sound Wall/FM 1463 Road Widening: Construction for the overall TxDOT project is estimated to be completed in late 2026.
2025 Drainage Channel Rehabilitation: The contractor has been directed to complete all remaining work by April 4th.
South Firethorne Road Crosswalk: The engineer is working with the contractor and Fort Bend County to secure the necessary right-of-way permit.
West Detention Parking Lot: The District is awaiting the geotechnical report to finalize the pavement design and plans to submit plans for external agency review this week.
2026 Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Televising: This project was initiated in early February and is currently ongoing.
Landscaping and Parks:
The landscaping team was directed to repair damaged sidewalk panels at the West Detention Pond for safety and accessibility.
The new slide at Ravens Prairie Park was installed last week.
Tree trimming along the West Detention pond is currently in progress.
