Financial Matters:
Annual Audit Approved: The Board reviewed and approved the District's annual audit report, which affirmed the strong financial health of the District.
Annexation Discussions:
The Board approved an updated agreement to annex new land north of FM 1463 (near Willow Pointe MUD). Once a deposit is received from the developer and all parties have signed the annexation agreement, the District’s legal team will move forward with the annexation.
Please note that construction will not begin for at least 12 months.
Engineering & Construction Updates:
TXDOT Sound Wall / FM 1463 Road Widening: According to TxDOT, the overall road widening project is estimated to be completed in late 2026.
South Firethorne Road Crosswalk Lighting: Fort Bend County Commissioner's Court approved the maintenance agreement. The District met with the contractor, EnGo Planet, and the lights are scheduled for installation early next week. The Board verified the final placement.
South Firethorne Road Crosswalk Radar Signs: The two new radar signs are scheduled to ship on December 11, 2025.
South Firethorne Road Crosswalk Striping: The Fort Bend County Road & Bridge Department acknowledged the striping request, though residents should note the County informed the District that this request could take 6-8 months to be addressed.
Drainage Channel Rehabilitation: Seeding at the West Detention Basin and Firethorne East Lake No. 1 has been completed via drone.
Improvements at West Detention Parking Lot: This project is officially kicking off this month.
Phase I Recreational Improvements: The District will coordinate with EHRA to solicit a proposal for geotechnical services for the planned parking lot, pavilion, and bridge.

Mailbox Cleaning: Quarterly mailbox cleaning has been completed
Irrigation at West Detention Pond: Four additional breaks occurred in the irrigation system at the West Detention Pond. This was due to high pressure, which has now been adjusted to the correct range.
